Parenting Plan Evaluations

Our parenting evaluations at NW Forensic & Clinical Services adhere to the highest standards set forth by Oregon’s Board of Licensed Social Workers, the National Association of Social Workers, National Organization of Forensic Social Work, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). Our parenting evaluations align with the latest guidelines from AFCC on Parenting Plan Evaluations in Family Law Cases (2022) and the Guidelines for Examining Intimate Partner Violence (2016).

Our evaluation process is comprehensive, encompassing three key areas: in-depth interviews and evaluation of the parents, assessment of the child with keen observations of parent-child interactions, and a thorough examination of collateral information. We prioritize timeliness without compromising accuracy, ensuring that our final report is child-focused and addresses the child's best psychological interests, offering well-founded recommendations concerning custody and parenting time.

In maintaining fairness and consistency, we employ the same structured interview approach and duration for each participant, affording them opportunities to share relevant information from the time of referral until the report is completed.
